Often times, the question of how to govern ourselves comes to mind. Ideologies concerned with this question are given the brand of political theories. Three of these political theories are known as communism, capitalism, and totalitarianism. What makes each ideology distinct will be discussed in length. Their origins, problems addressed, and solutions advised are our tools of classification

Communism aims to create a society based on common ownership of goods. With communism intact, the distribution of wealth will be evenly distributed. This will give power to the working people. In addition to power to the working people, class is nonexistent. This is how communism differs from the other political ideologies.

Another political ideology is capitalism. Capitalism is purely based on free marketing and a means of production. Private property also plays a big role in capitalism. Capitalism allows for competition to encourage people to work harder. Competition also helps companies grow and it helps consumers by providing various goods.

Totalitarianism is a political theory that displays absolute power by one party. In addition to absolute power, totalitarianism doesn’t allow for any opposing parties. It motions the whole nation to pursuit goals set by the ruler. Totalitarianism is not seem as much on large countries.

In all, communism, capitalism, and totalitarianism are three distinct ideologies. They each solve certain problems in different ways. Whether it be by force, competition, or the central government. In the end these are ideologies were made to help countries develop.
